Random Freeze Fixes – Why Your Computer Freezes and How to Fix it Easily

Tammy McGraw December 14, 2020 How To Fix

Computer freezes can be very annoying. If you want to make sure your pc is running smoothly and error-free, you need to take the time to look at some of the most common causes of hardware problems with your computer. There are also some simple steps you can take to resolve the issue if you have run into a hardware problem with your pc before.

The most common cause of computer freezes is overheating. This is actually very simple to resolve. All you have to do is make sure that you don’t overheat your CPU. If your CPU gets hot and is moving very fast then you should try to cool it down. To do this, all you have to do is run a simple task manager task.

If your problem is overheating, then you should look to see if your processor has already cooled down. To do this, you will want to open the task manager and look to see if the programs that are running aren’t responding. If they are not responding then you should make sure that they are all turned off. This will prevent any further damage from being done to your system.

Another reason why your computer freezes are because there are outdated or corrupt drivers installed on your PC. To resolve this problem, you will want to look to run a registry cleaner program. These programs will scan through your system and repair any of the corrupt or damaged drivers that are inside it. It is important that you have a good windows device manager if you want to repair problems like these as sometimes these devices can be the cause of these types of freezing errors.

Some people try and fix their computer freezes by using the built-in Windows operating system driver tools. You will need to download and install the correct tool for the version of windows you are using. It’s always wise to use these tools as they will fix the most common problems that your computer has. However, if you are having other problems with your computer freezes, then you will have to check and see if there is an option in your BIOS to manually set your clock speeds. This may solve your problem but it is not a reliable fix for freezes caused by hardware issues.

The last reason why your computer freezes are because it is not compatible with the hardware that is currently installed. When you have a new piece of hardware, it will likely install with specific drivers that will tell your windows operating system how to make use of it. If these drivers are missing, then your computer freezes up. There are simple things you can do to solve this problem.

In some cases, it is possible to run a Windows trial to see if your computer freezes when you boot it up. If the boot process fails, then you should check and see if the lack of adequate ram is the problem. It is likely that the BIOS will tell your operating system how much ram to use but you may not have the adequate amount to start with. This is the time to find and replace the outdated or inadequate ram with a more modern part. If you don’t know how to do this, then you should take advantage of the specialized services that are available on the Internet.

The steps above are all the reasons why a random freeze may stop you from being productive. These are not only common, but they are very easy to fix. If your computer freezes after you have tried all of these simple fixes, then you should make sure to look into the possibility of a software registry cleaner. This fix has helped me fix my computer freezing problem and eliminate all of its associated problems.
